This is a privately owned counseling, consulting, and behavioral sciences practice founded in 2000 with its primary office in the Sherman Oaks area. Clients comprise all cultural, racial, and economic backgrounds, including individuals with different sexual orientations.

Linda Engel holds an undergraduate degree in Social Science with a specialization in Social Welfare from Loyola University in Chicago. She also holds a master’s degree from the University of Southern California in Social Work. She is licenced by the State of California to do psychotherapy. She has worked in the criminal justice system helping criminals to adjust to returning to society. She has worked in the field of mental health for the past 10 years doing psychiatric social work at a hospital on an outpatient basis.

She is a member of NASW (National Association of Social Workers) and has travelled as an ambassador from the U.S. comparing social work programs in China, Cambodia, South Africa, Egypt, Russia, and Brazil. She was interviewed at Helwan University by Niletv focusing on the similarities and differences between our different cultural approaches to addressing social problems.

She has been closely connected with 12 step programs for the past 20 years and enjoys working with people in recovery.

She is a dynamic, interactive therapist whose training is in cognitive behavioral treatment, and solution focused therapy with a basis in using psychdynamic techniques to make links to early relationships and their impact on patterns in people’s lives.

She thoroughly enjoys and feels passionate about this work and would do no other!
